‘The United Nations is our one great hope for a peaceful and free world. To make our way, we must have firm resolve, persistence, tenacity.’ -Ralph Bunche
On October16 and 17, 2025,an entirely different pedagogics and ambience was created by the students of Holy Child School, Panchkula on the occasion of 9th HCS MUN - 2025. In a pursuit to dive down deeper and deeper in the search of truth, the whole atmosphere oozed of passion, zeal and enthusiasm as over 113 delegates from Classes 6-12 looked forward to deliberate, discuss, dispute and debate over threatening, significant and portentous problems that the world faces today.
The conference was divided into different committees, which focused on different topics of discussion. This year’s theme, ‘Empowering Humanity through Technology’, explored eminent world issues in dire need of unraveling. Discussions ensued in four committees chaired by HCS students, ShreyaAggarwal (United Nations General Assembly),AbhinavBansal (Disarmament and International Security Committee),Ekta (United Nations Human Right Council),AnweshaDorjay (United Nations Security Council) and Surveen Singh (All India Political Party Meet).
A delightful assortment of both first-timers and experienced alumni flooded the hallways of HCS, with equivalent keenness to engage in fruitful discussions, putting forward their resolutions and reaching reasonable conclusions.
Our Chief Guest Ms. NeenaTrehan and Director of the school, Mrs.ShivaniSareencommended the efforts of the students and emphasized on thefar reaching impact this experience would make on their lives ahead.
