Earth Day

The three R's – reduce, reuse and recycle – all help to cut down on the amount of waste we throw away. They conserve natural resources, landfill space and energy. At Holy Child School, we lay great emphasis on sensitising and empowering our students from a very early age, to be change makers of the future.

On this Earth Day, students of classes 1 to 5 actively participated in the 'Best out of Waste' activity. They learnt the process of "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" and created innovative and creative items out of waste products available in their homes.

STEAM activities

STEAM* activities form an intrinsic part of Experiential Learning at Holy Child School. By engaging the students as active participants in the learning process, we foster development of key critical thinking and problem solving skills. Encouraging a hands on approach results in better concept assimilation and an enjoyable way to explore our world.
*STEAM is an amalgamation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics where two or more (all) subjects are taught together leading to effective concept understanding.

Career Guidance and Counselling

A Career Guidance and Counselling workshop, for the students of Classes 10, 11 and 12, was conducted by Mr. Rajeev Markandey, HOD Verbal Communications Bulls Eye, last month. The key learnings for parents and students was information about the abundant career opportunities available today that needed a variety of specialised skill sets and knowledge base. There are courses of higher studies such as Geology, Archeology, Social Service, Psychology, Law, Mass Communication Film and Journalism, Fashion Designing, Business and Marketing, Hotel Management and Tourism, Aviation, Education and Counselling, Anthropology, Visual Arts and many more. He encouraged students to choose a field that interests them, as there are a plethora of study options which open the door to numerous alternative careers/professions. We look forward to more such engaging and enlightening workshops!

Environmental education is a process that allows students to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment. As a result, they develop a deeper understanding of environmental concerns and have the skills to make informed and responsible decisions. At Holy Child School, we lay great emphasis on sensitising and empowering our students from a very early age.
On this Earth Day, we once again renew our pledge to work together towards a better planet!

On English Language Day, we rededicate ourselves to encouraging and promoting this enjoyable pursuit!
